"Hi my name is Debbie and I am 65 years young. Late last year I was experiencing a lot of pain in my left hip and unable to sleep much due to the pain. However, things deteriorated and when I began pill popping I decided to go to see my GP. She referred me to physiotherapy. I was told this would take a couple of months so in the meantime I wondered if there was anything I could do for myself to alleviate my pain. I asked a colleague if they knew of any personal trainers and they recommended Funmi who taught Yoga. What a laugh, I’m glad no one could see me. In the beginning I couldn’t even stand on one leg at all or anywhere near. But it was like a miracle because within a short time, and I’m talking about a couple of weeks, I was no longer clock watching to take more tablets. Things just got better and better. No more sleepless nights. Now four months later I don’t take any tablets and I don’t have any pain at all. Needless to say I will be carrying on with Funmi and the exercises she gives me. I feel so fit now, and full of energy. I have gained so much freedom and mobility through yoga I just achieve more and more from my yoga sessions."
